Nancy Fletcher, nacida en
1976, proviene de Lincolnshire en el Reino Unido. El desarrollo de una
admiración por la disciplina y la creatividad a una edad temprana de la vida
rural, la influencia del amor de su padre por su trabajo y su motivación para
cuidar su entorno, le ayudó a dar forma a sus ideas de belleza, de la felicidad
y el trabajo duro. Nancy entró en la universidad de Edimburgo para estudiar
fotografía a los 19 años, formación que le llevó con éxito a una carrera
profesional en Londres como fotógrafo independiente durante unos años.
Había estudiado a los
dieciocho años en Florencia, así que en el 2002 dejó la fotografía y regresó a
Florencia para estudiar bellas artes y pintura clásica, siguiendo los impulsos
de su vocación. Ha estudiado en los estudios de Charles Cecil y La Academia
Ángel de arte en Florencia, así como con Jacob Collins en la calle del Agua
Atelier y de la céntrica Gran Academia de Arte de la ciudad de Nueva York. Ha
mostrado su trabajo en galerías en los EE.UU., Reino Unido y Hong Kong y ha
participado en importantes exposiciones como el Premio BP Retrato, La Real
Sociedad de Retratistas y la Sociedad Retrato de América. Actualmente vive y
trabaja en el suroeste de Londres, donde pinta retratos por encargo y naturalezas
muertas.
